In addition to offering 24 hour nursing care, Castleton Health Care Center serves our residents’ needs through multiple levels of care including skilled and traditional care, as well as respite and hospice care.
Skilled Care – Our physician-directed skills health care services are designed to meet the needs of every resident. At Brownsburg Health Care Center, those needs are addressed with physical, occupational, speech, and nutritional therapies combined with 24 hour nursing care.
Traditional Care - Castleton Health Care Center provides consistent nursing care to residents who need support in their daily activities. Through our care, these residents are able to achieve and maintain the highest level of functioning possible.
Respite Care – Our Respite Care service is designed to give family members a much needed break from the demands of caring for the chronically or terminally ill at home. Whether it is for a weekend or a few weeks, Castleton Health Care Center provides our patients with a comfortable, secure, and social environment. Additionally, our highly-trained staff is ready to meet any medical needs.
At Castleton Health Care Center, we provide physical, speech, occupational, and medical nutritional therapy. Our rehabilitation unit also consists of:

Rehabilitation services are provided for residents experiencing the debilitating effects of injury, illness, or disability. Our trained staff of licensed specialists is committed to providing the highest standards in rehabilitative care. We believe that successful therapy is a partnership between the resident, physician, family members, and our expert rehabilitative treatment team.
Our Dementia Unit is a 16 bed secured unit staffed with nurses, aides, and special activities staff. Our staff works together to create and implement an environoment that lends itself to help patients with Dementia/Alzheimer's to function at their highest level.
Our caring staff is specially trained to promote continued respect in regards to the humanity your loved one deserves. We continue to meet them at their level of abilities, and treat them with the same respect they experienced before their illness. At Castleton Health Care Center, we offer 24 hour care and focus on the ability of each individual.
Our Center is proud of our special unit, as it has been a source of positive outcomes for our residents who reside here with us. The residents can socialize, watch their favorite TV program in the day room, or enjoy beautiful weather on our private secured patio.
Our special Dementia Unit offers a secure environment, educational information, special activities, social services, respite care, and special diets with a physician's order. The resident rooms are equipped with hospital beds and individual call light systems at each bedside an in the private restrooms. Each resident is also provided a night stand and a closet for clothes and personal belongings. Our Center provides cable outlets in each room at no additional cost. There are phone jacks in each of the resident rooms and phone service is available. We strive to help our residents feel comfortable in his or her surroundings and feel at home.
Castleton Health Care Center also offers audiology, dental, podiatry, and ophthalmology services.

Our Dining Room has a bright, pleasant atmosphere and our dietary department offers delicious, well-balanced meals to accommodate the individual tastes and preferences of our residents. We are happy to assist those individuals who require assistance with meals. We encourage our residents to eat in the dining room, however, we do serve meals in the residents' rooms if they prefer.
Castleton Health Care Center provides laundry services on the premises, while our housekeeping staff maintains a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment.
Our Center offers a seven day a week recreation program. This program provides the opportunity for residents to remain involved and interested in life, and gives them the chance to enjoy new activities. There is a full schedule each month and the socialization with other residents offers new friendships and much enjoyment to our residents.
